Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use MJ Hub, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.
1. Who is the data controller?
MJ Hub (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information processed through this platform. You can contact us via in-app support for privacy-related questions.

- Account details: display name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed).
- Profile information you choose to add (avatar, preferences).
- Order and wallet information: products purchased, amounts, delivery records.
- Support conversations and messages you send to our team.
Information collected automatically

We do not collect or store full card numbers — card data is handled directly by our payment partners where cards are used.
3. Why we use your information
- To create and operate your account and process your orders.
- To deliver purchased services and maintain your order history.
- To accept payments and credit your wallet.

4. Legal bases for processing
- Contract — to provide the services you have asked for.
- Legitimate interests — for fraud prevention, platform security and product improvement.
- Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Consent — for optional marketing messages, which you can withdraw at any time.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the platform, including:
- Payment partners — to process payments and credit your wallet.
- Email infrastructure — to deliver transactional and notification emails.
- Cloud hosting — to host the platform securely.
- Customer-support tools — to manage your support conversations.
- Law-enforcement and regulators — when we are legally required, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud or harm.
6. International transfers
Some providers may be located outside Nigeria. When personal data is transferred internationally we rely on contractual safeguards and the providers’ own compliance frameworks to keep it protected.
7. How long we keep it

- Support conversations: up to 24 months after the last interaction.
- Security and fraud logs: up to 24 months.
- Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe.
8. How we protect your information
- All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS).
- Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, never in plain text.
- Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel.
- Access controls are used so one customer cannot read another customer’s data.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or your local authority. Contact us via in-app support to exercise these rights. We aim to respond within 30 days.
10. Cookies & similar technologies
We use essential cookies and local-storage entries to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as theme), and protect against fraud. We do not run cross-site advertising trackers. Clearing these may sign you out.
11. Children
The platform is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes inside the app or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
13. Contact
MJ Hub Privacy — use in-app Help & Support or the contact details on the Support page.
Data we collect
We collect account information you provide (such as name, email, username, and phone number), wallet and transaction records, order history (SMS, logs, boosters), support messages, and basic technical data (such as IP address, device/browser type, and approximate location derived from IP) needed to run and secure the service.
Third-party processors
We use trusted processors to operate MJ Hub, including authentication and database hosting (e.g. Supabase), email delivery (e.g. Resend), payment/deposit providers (e.g. PocketFi), and product suppliers for SMS, logs, and boosters. These parties process data only as needed to provide their services to us.
Automated systems
We may use automated systems for fraud prevention, rate limiting, email notifications, and order status updates. We do not use customer conversations to train public general-purpose AI models. Support may use internal tools to help respond to tickets.
Retention and deletion
You can request account deletion from the app where available, or by contacting support. We delete or anonymize personal data when no longer needed for the service, legal obligations, or dispute resolution, subject to backup and security logs retained for a limited period.
